Disney is reportedly considering two price points for its park tickets: peak and off-peak pricing, charging more on busy days and less when the park is quiet. Last week, we asked if you would pay more to visit during “peak” times.
Overwhelmingly (72%), readers said “no” they would not pay extra. Only 28% said they would consider paying more (14%), or that they were unsure (14%).
One reader commented, “If the park will tell me ahead of time when it is going to be busy, I will go when it is not busy to avoid the crowds. If they will charge less when I want to be there anyway, it's just a double-win for me.”
Another participant said, “It’s a good idea to lower ticket prices below what they are now. However, if the current price is the ‘off-peak’ price or the park-hopper option price increases, then no.”
Other comments included:
“This makes Disney parks even less desirable to me.”
“I would pay more to visit at off peak times.”
