The Federal Reserve recently announced it will leave interest rates unchanged at their current historically low levels, even though the U.S. economy has been gaining strength. Last week, we asked if you thought this was a good idea.
Readers were evenly split on this issue, 44% responding either “Yes” or “No.” 11% were unsure.
One reader said, “The economy in the rest of the world is shaky right now.”
Another participant said, “The Feds have shown no ability to manage money since the close of WWII when they decided that they didn’t need to balance the budget and the deficit is now in the high trillions and unfathomable - especially since no other countries are buying our debt anymore.”
