Jonathan Kaplan has been actively involved in the ceramics field for 40 years as an artist, consultant, designer, educator, manufacturer and potter. He holds a bachelor’s of fine arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master’s of fine arts from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. More students, artists, and working potters are joining the ceramics community, but the marketplace of buyers and collectors does not seem to be growing at the same rate.
