Dr. Robert A. Condrate Sr., emeritus professor of spectroscopy, School of Ceramic Engineering and Material Science, Alfred University, was recently named a fellow of the Canadian Ceramic Society. The status of fellow is bestowed on those who "have significantly contributed to the society in ways that help it meet its mission of advancement and knowledge in ceramic and glass sciences manufacturing." Condrate has presented numerous review and research papers at the society's national meetings. He has also presented special characterization talks over the years at workshops run by the Canadian government on ceramic and glass materials.
