Cevisama 2016 Breaks Attendance Records
Cevisama, the International Exhibition of Ceramics, Bathroom Equipment and Natural Stone, which was held February 1-5 in Feria Valencia, Spain, hosted 78,221 professionals, 14,923 of which were foreign buyers coming from 145 different countries. This year’s event reportedly achieved the largest numbers in Cevisama's 34-year history.
The numbers show that most of the foreign buyers came from western Europe (32.6%), as well as from Russia and Eastern European countries (more than 14%) and North Africa (12%). Visitors from the Near and Middle East represented around 10%, mainly coming from Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Recent additions to the event show a substantial increase in the number of professionals coming from the European market, especially from Italy, Portugal, and the UK. Visitors coming from the U.S. also increased considerably.
Most domestic buyers were retail stores, distributors and sales agents, purchasing groups, manufacturers and professionals such as architects, interior designers and industrial designers. The majority of international visitors were wholesaler importers, stores, distributors and sales agents.
