glasstec 2016 Accepting Exhibitor Registrations
Exhibit space is available for glasstec 2016, which will be held September 20–23 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. glasstec will reportedly cover the complete value chain for glass with a unique range of companies. A comprehensive ancillary program consisting of special shows and conferences will complement the exhibitors’ presentations. At the last event in 2014, more than 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries presented their products to about 43,000 international visitors.
“The unique diversity of glass in the age of the new ‘smart’ glass types combined with know-how, applications, continuous education, ideas and practice is without par worldwide,” said Stefan Kieckhöfel, general manager of the Federal Association of the German Glazier Trade (BIV). “Especially in view of the looming re-positioning of glaziers in the glass sector, glasstec 2016 serves as an indicator, source of ideas and a location determiner at the same time.”
According to event organizers, a highlight at the trade fair will be the Special Show “glass technology live,” organized by Stefan Behling, senior executive partner at Foster & Partners in London and the team of the IBK 2 of Stuttgart University. It will showcase exhibits, innovative products and pioneering solutions for the next three to five years. The focus will be on free-form, ultra-thin, solid and informative glass. Participation in the accompanying symposia will be free of charge for all visitors. Other planned special areas will include the “Zentrum Handwerk/Crafts Center” with “Craft Live,” the Professional Center Glass and Façade, as well as the “glass art” exhibition.
