Ceramic industry professionals can explore new and innovative technologies and materials at the upcoming ceramitec conference.
From October 20-23, Messe München will house the ceramitec 2015 trade show. Leading manufacturers, consumers, and researchers in the ceramics, technical ceramics, and powder metallurgy fields will come together to network, learn, and explore new innovations at this international trade fair.
Exhibition
The exhibition trade show will be held on the west side of Messe München in halls A1-A2 and B1-B2. The exhibition will host booths from a variety of vendors from around the world, divided by category: raw materials and additives, powders, production materials and aids will be in hall A1; refractory materials, firing aids, kilns and equipment/research in hall A2; machinery, plants and equipment for fine and refractory ceramics, technical ceramics and powder metallurgy in hall B1; and machinery, plants and equipment for heavy clay ceramics in hall B2.
Messe München will also be hosting three other trade fairs from October 20-22 in neighboring exhibition halls A5 and A6 (by the east entrance): MATERIALICA, eCarTec Munich and sMove360°. Admission to ceramitec also allows entrance to these trade shows.
ceramitec Forum
ceramitec participants will also present lectures and discussions in an educational forum in hall B1 to complement the trade show. Each day will have a different theme, such as heavy clay, powder metallurgy, and technical ceramics, with panel discussions and lectures along that theme from industry experts, researchers, and foreign advisors (see the Forum Program).
Networking Events
On Wednesday night, the Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft (the German Ceramic Society), the Bundesverband der deutschen Ziegelindustrie (the German Brick Making Industry Association) and Messe München are hosting a Bavarian Theme Night of German Ceramics at the Zum Franziskaner restaurant. For a night of all-you-can-eat Bavarian food and drink, and networking with friends, business partners, and clients, admission is $28 (€25) per person.
On Friday, ceramitec will host Career Day, a day full of lectures, discussions, information and job offers around the ceramics industry. ceramitec and its partners, VDMA and Nachwuchsnetzwerk Keramik (Network for Young Ceramics Professionals), will present various programs on education and further professional training. Employers will also be present to inform students, graduates, and young professionals about sustainable development and career opportunities in the Career Lounge.
