RAK Ceramics Invests in Sacmi High-Pressure Casting Solutions
RAK Ceramics has reportedly added two new casting machines and a kiln to its Bangladesh plant, which is reportedly one of the most modern and highly automated facilities in the region. The Dhaka site will benefit from increased output capacity of approximately 200,000 pieces per year. The Sacmi-developed high-pressure casting technology includes two battery-type casting machines for two-part molds and a new Riedhammer HWS kiln, which has an output capacity of 706.5 pieces per cycle.
“We are very pleased to have installed this new technology in our RAK Bangladesh plant,” said Abdallah Massaad, CEO. “We continue to invest heavily in research, development and the latest technologies to ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of ceramics’ production. We have a strong partnership with Sacmi and a long-term commitment to maintain our status as an industry leader.”
